Educated and qualified as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor - Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors - I have extensive experience of both the consulting and contracting sides of the construction industry. As well as traditional Surveying roles, I have developed Project Management and Contract Administration skills. It is my professional experience that I have carried through to my contracting roles to enhance the image and service of the Buildng Companies that I have worked for.
For the last decade I have worked for the contracting organisations, which has in the majority been within the Northwest of England, but also on projects throughout the UK. Since establishing myself as freelance in early 2010 I have worked for a range of clients - private, commercial and contracting.

- Tender documentation and actions
- Estimating & Bid management of competitive tenders
- Measurement and Quantities for building works
- Development of procurement strategies
- Design development and co-ordination
- Liaising and co-ordinating with Design Team
The projects that I have worked on range from new-build to fit-out and refurbishment. The types of building have been offices, retail, residential, hotels, factories and warehouses. The range of contract formats from traditional, 'design & build' and 'frameworks'.
While most projects are new-build I also have an extensive experience of refurbishment and conversion works on existing buildings, including historic with 'listed' status. The forms of new-build construction include load-bearing masonry, steel-framed, concrete framed and precast systems.
